Most popular lessons of 2016…so far!
We now have more than 500 lessons up on the site and it’s still growing. That’s not bad when you consider that we started the site in September 2014 with only 25 lessons. It has been a struggle to research, write, edit, and proof read all these lessons, not to mention the fact that each lesson has a PDF printable version and audio recorded. Although there have been times on this journey when I have wondered if it is worth it, it has become something I have become proud of.
The site is now being used by people in 199 different countries which is something I never dreamed of 18 months ago. I have received messages from teachers and learners from all over the world. I am particularly happy that it has reached many teachers in developing countries. Part of the inspiration behind the starting the site was conversations I had with teachers and learners in Cambodia. These conversations with people who didn’t have access to high quality materials because of their financial situations were one of my biggest motivators.
I have tried to keep many of the materials seasonal, and release them at the appropriate time of year. I have done this to help busy teachers quickly find something topical and relevant for their classes. I have also tried to write about a wide variety of topics. Also, since starting, Dreamreader has expanded and different levels of lessons have been added, so there is something for everyone on the site. Again, this has been a major challenge, but a challenge I have enjoyed.
As I mentioned earlier, I have been trying to write seasonal materials, and these have been very popular. I would also love to hear from you regarding your favorite Dreamreader lesson. I would also love to hear from you if have any suggestions for future lessons.
