World’s Tallest Buildings

There are many tall buildings around the world. If you visit any of the world’s big cities, you will see huge skyscrapers and towers. Here the five tallest buildings in the world in June 2015.

  1. Taipei 101 – This super skyscraper is located in Taipei, Taiwan. It is 509 meters or 1,671 feet tall. It was the world’s tallest building between 2004 and 2010, but it now is number 5.

  2. One World Trade Centre – This is the main building of the new World Trade Centre in Lower Manhattan, New York. It stands at 541 meters or 1,776 feet tall.

  3. Makkah Clock Royal Tower – This monster building is in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is a whopping 601 meters or 1,971 feet tall.

  4. Shanghai Tower – This huge tower has 128 stories! It is over 632 meters or 2,073 feet tall.

  5. Burj Khalifa – The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the world’s tallest building. It is a monster! It is almost 200 meters taller than the Shanghai Tower. It stands at a massive 828 meters or 2,717 feet tall.
