Questions – Lesson 9

How are you doing? This is another friendly way of asking someone how they are. Sometimes the “are” is dropped to make it sound like “how you doing?”

Example: “Hi Sarah, how are you doing?” “Really good, thanks!”

How do you do? This is a very formal way of asking someone how they are, and isn’t really used in everyday conversations.

Example: “How do you do?” “Very well, thank you”.

How’s tricks? This is very informal and only usually used with friends.

Example: “How’s tricks?” “Awesome”
