The iPhone 6 is Apple’s newest smartphone. Apple released it on September 19, 2014 in North America. In the first three days, people bought more than 10 million iPhone 6 smartphones! The iPhone 6 is a big change from the previous versions of the iPhone. First, the screen is much larger on the new iPhone 6. In fact, Apple’s slogan for the new iPhone was “Bigger than bigger.” The iPhone 6 has a screen size of 4.7 inches (over 11 centimeters) and the iPhone 6 Plus has an even larger display at almost 14 centimeters (5.5 inches). Because the new screen is so big, Apple needed to move the power button from the front of the iPhone to the side of it.
The new iPhone is also much thinner than previous versions. In fact, some people have complained that the iPhone 6 Plus is too thin and the device might bend. Apple has answered the complaints by saying that only a small number of people have had this problem. Besides the size and thickness, Apple has made several other changes with the new iPhone. Apple has upgraded the camera and the screen can display sharper images. The new software for the phone is iOS 8 and it has several new features. Users can zoom in on the screen to read small text. There are also new apps, like the Health App. This allows iPhone 6 users to track their calories and exercise throughout the day.
