Chicken Tikka Masala

Chicken tikka masala is a kind of spicy curry dish. No one really knows where it was first made, but it has now become one of Britain’s most popular dishes. The chicken in chicken tikka masala is covered with spices and yoghurt and baked in a wooden tandoori oven. The sauce is usually quite creamy and is orange-colored. There are many different variations, but most of the time the sauce is made from tomatoes, cream, coconut milk, and spices.

As mentioned earlier, no one really knows where it was first made, but there is an interesting story that might explain this mystery. The story goes like this. One night a bus driver went into an Indian restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland. He ordered a chicken curry, but when he tasted it, he complained to the waiter that it was too dry. The waiter took it back to the kitchen, and there, the waiter’s father suggested adding some tomato soup. The waiter did it! He took it back to the bus driver, and the bus driver loved it! The waiter and his father put it on the menu and the bus driver and his friends came back many times and ordered it.
